Scholarship program honors six

Six graduates of Forsyth County high schools recently received the Daniel Hager Memorial Scholarship.

Jared Klienwaechter and Neha Saxena from Lambert, Anna Finch and Madison Rodenstine from North Forsyth and Tyler McGee and Hannah Coonley from South Forsyth were each presented with the award and $1,000 scholarship to Georgia Tech.

The funds were raised through an annual fall golf tournament. The scholarship honors the memory of Hager, who died in November 2005 following an accident near Bluffton, S.C. Hager, 31, was a senior engineer and former Georgia Tech honor student.

The 2012 golf tournament is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 16 at St. Ives Country Club in Johns Creek.
