The Lakewood 400 Antiques Market will celebrate its 10th anniversary this weekend.

The market, 1321 Atlanta Hwy., is known for classic antiques and collectibles, as well as unique home and garden décor, jewelry and art.

Lakewood 400 is open the third weekend of every month.

The large warehouse space that houses the market features more than 500 dealer spaces, as well as outdoor space for vendors.

An on-site restaurant is available to vendors and customers. It provides a range of food items from hamburgers and hot dogs to salads and funnel cakes.

The local market was spun off from the Historic Lakewood Antiques Market at the Southeastern Fairgrounds in Atlanta. That market enjoyed 30 years in business, drawing massive crowds during its time in operation.

Ed Spiva, founder of the Historic Lakewood Market, also founded and continues to manage Lakewood 400. Spiva also served as Georgia’s first film commissioner and as chairman of the board of the Georgia Film Commission.

Barbara Spiva, co-owner and manager of the local market, said it has many loyal vendors and customers.

“We have some dealers who have been with Lakewood since Historic Lakewood and many new dealers who bring an excellent mix to the market,” she said in a statement.

“We have loyal customers who come every month because they never know what they will find and they are confident in the quality and uniqueness of their purchases.”

Barbara Spiva said she’s “really excited about reaching this milestone” of the market’s 10thanniversary.

“We invite everyone to come celebrate with us in June,” she said.
