PREP ROUNDUP: North softball pounds West Hall with 17 hits

The Lady Raiders dominated at the plate with a 17-hit performance en route to a 15-3 four-inning mercy rule win at West Hall. on Wednesday

North’s Sydney Turner paced the team with four RBIs, while Ashlyn Mangum and Bailey Rivers added two apiece. West Hall managed all three of its runs in the first inning before Lea Ann Porter (1 IP), Turner (2 IP) and Sara King (1 IP) shut down the Lady Spartans.

North improved to 2-4 overall.

Lambert 12, Northview 2

Lambert continued its winning ways with a 12-2 victory at home over Northview. Kassie Howard (1 IP) and Megan Walz (3 IP) limited the Northview batters to just two runs.

Walz, Sydnie Smith and Macy Stovall each tallied two RBIs to help the Lady Longhorns improve to 7-0 on the season.

Creekview 8, West Forsyth 0

A seven-run fifth inning was too much for the Lady Wolverines to overcome, as they fell 8-0 at home to Creekview.

Creekview only led 1-0 entering the inning, but Cynda Tate broke the game open with a bases-clearing triple that plated three runs.

West drops to 1-3 overall.
