A Forsyth County woman was arrested for DUI on Thursday afternoon after rear-ending a loaded school bus.

Nina Amren, 55, struck the back of the Forsyth County Schools bus on Campground Road at about 3 p.m. with her Chevrolet Tahoe.

She apparently didn’t see the bus stopping, about to let students off from Vickery Creek Elementary School, said Doug Rainwater, spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Two students complained of minor injuries, Rainwater said, but they were checked out and treated on site.

Parents were notified and all the children were picked up from the scene, Rainwater said.

One lane of the road was shut down for about an hour after the incident.

Amren, who lives on nearby Bentley Road, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and following too closely.
