A month-long investigation has resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s office, Brandon Dupont, 24, of Pilgrim Mill Circle was charged Thursday with trafficking marijuana.

He also faces charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, manufacturing hash and possession of schedule I drug for hash.

A second person, 30-year-old Kerri Gray was arrested Friday for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

The investigation began after an anonymous tip and involved several hours of surveillance.

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators determined that about 10 pounds or more of marijuana were being shipped weekly to Dupont’s home from California and Colorado.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Doug Rainwater said postal services do have means of detecting drugs, but sometimes packages get through.

Evidence seized at the Pilgrim Mill Circle home led investigators to Gray’s residence on Moor Point Drive, Rainwater said.

The agency seized 10 pounds of suspected marijuana and $19,360 in cash from Dupont, as well as $5,285 from Gray in an operation that appeared “pretty significant,” Rainwater said.
