FORSYTH COUNTY — Forsyth County Schools has again been named one of the top digital school districts in the country.

This is the sixth time the system has been named to the National School Boards Association and the Center of Digital Education’s Top 10 list.

In 2005, the system placed first. In 2012, Forsyth ranked second and in 2008 and ’09, it was third.

This year, the system ranked eighth in the digital school districts survey, which showcases exemplary use of technology to govern, improve district operations and communicate with students, parents and the community.

First place for districts with a student population of more than 12,000 went to Prince William County in Virginia, followed by Colorado Springs School District 11 in Colorado, according to the list.

There was a three-way tie for third place among Hampton City Schools in Virginia, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System in Georgia and Township High School District 214 in Illinois.
