SOUTH FORSYTH — Forsyth County senior citizens are invited to learn more about healthy living during an event next week.

The third annual Healthy Aging and Fitness Fair is set for 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road, just off Sharon Road in south Forsyth.

Presented annually by Forsyth County Senior Services, the fair is geared toward adults age 50 and older.

Judy Theilman, senior services director, said many in the community take advantage of the fair and its free offerings.

“The Healthy Aging and Fitness Fair has grown in popularity each year and we are excited to offer this event once again to our community’s seniors,” she said.

“A variety of valuable wellness information will be available for those in attendance.”

A number of health-related vendors will have booths set up. In addition, there will be several health screenings available. Those include blood pressure, glucose and hearing screenings.

New offerings this year will include screenings related to sleep apnea, body mass index and foot assessments.

Attendees can also enjoy snacks and try out some of the many exercise programs offered through Senior Services at Sexton Hall, such as yoga and dance.
