FORSYTH COUNTY — Mentor Me North Georgia, a nonprofit dedicated to impacting the lives of young people through mentoring, recently received 10 tablets for young people enrolled in the program.

The Yoga tablets were awarded to Mentor Me through a Lenovo “Doers for Youth” employee grant presented to Amanda Wade.

Wade and her husband, Edward, are mentors to a young man in the program.

Ten students were selected by the nonprofit to receive one of the Lenovo tablets, and representatives from the company, which is the world’s largest maker of personal computers, presented the tablets to the students July 30.

The “Doers for Youth” employee grant program rewards Lenovo employees for their volunteer time with youth-focused nonprofits.

The donated tablets will be used as learning tools for each student through Forsyth County Schools’ Bring Your Own Technology program.
