Authorities looking for suspect in gas station robbery

Officials with Forsyth County Sheriff's Office are looking for information on a suspect who allegedly robbed a south Forsyth gas station early Saturday morning.

Law enforcement officials are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect reportedly involved in a gas station robbery early Saturday morning.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Cpl. Doug Rainwater said around 2:30 a.m., the suspect told a cashier at the Speedway convenience store at 3310 Buford Highway (Hwy. 20) he was armed and left the store with cash from the register.

Rainwater described the suspect as a white male standing about 5'10.” He said the suspect had blue eyes, was clean-shaven and wearing a gray hoodie during the robbery.

The suspect reportedly never produced a gun and had been in the store previously before leaving and returning. He may be driving a silver compact car.

The store is located at the intersection of Buford Highway and James Burgess Road.
