The 25th Annual Auto Crusade, organized by Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, comes to the Cumming Fairgrounds on Friday, Aug. 24, and Saturday, Aug. 25.

Having hosted this weekend of charity and family fun for a quarter-century, organizers have planned two open car shows, several autocross events, a barbecue dinner, and activities for the kids.

However, the volunteers of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church aren’t just looking for a good time. All proceeds from the car show and other events are contributed to aiding underprivileged children in the community.

When? Autocross begins on Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Following these infamous activities, savory $10 barbecue plates are combined with bluegrass entertainment from 6-10 p.m.

What’s next? Saturday, Aug. 25, the car show and autocross start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. with a kid’s Hot Wheels track competition and trophies as prizes.

Cost? Admission and parking are free for spectators. Cost to enter the Autocross is $70. Registration to enter a vehicle in the car show is $30 and barbecue plates on Friday cost $10 which includes meat, two sides, and a cold beverage.

How do I register? Come to the Cumming fairgrounds on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 8 a.m. to noon, to enter your vehicle into the car show for $30 or register for the autocross all day on Friday and Saturday free.
