PREP ROUNDUP: Lambert soccer sweeps Milton in Region 5-7A matches

Cambridge 13, South Forsyth 11

MILTON – The War Eagles almost overcame a four-goal halftime deficit in a non-area loss Tuesday on the road.

South trailed 8-4 at halftime before scoring four unanswered goals to tie the game, but the War Eagles dropped 2-2 overall.


North Gwinnett 16, Lambert 7

Cloe Latini had two goals and three groundballs but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Longhorns dropped a non-area game Tuesday at home.

Sammie Caples added two goals for Lambert, while Ali Bosjolie had a goal and two assists. Shelby Rumer also scored for the Lady Longhorns.

Morgan Berman made seven saves in goal.

Hillgrove 12, South Forsyth 11

Tatum Weiss scored three goals but it wasn’t enough as the Lady War Eagles dropped a close non-area game Tuesday at home.

Lauren Murtha added two goals for South (3-1), while Mackenzie Cole, Maddie Ford, Kira Hearns, Camryn Klaus, Izzy Parker and Merideth Ray each chipped in with a goal apiece.


Lambert 2, Milton 0

MILTON – Brooke Schuyler and Anna Sullivan scored goals as the Lady Longhorns earned a Region 5-7A victory Tuesday on the road.

Katelyn Castelli and Ellie Prybylski had assists for Lambert (5-2-0, 3-1), while Jordyn Ebert got the shutout in goal.


Lambert 4, Milton 0

MILTON – Four different players scored as the Longhorns earned a Region 5-7A victory Tuesday on the road.

Lambert (4-2-1, 3-1) got goals from Zane Ziegler, Eoin Griffiths, Logan Racine and John Conahan.

Avery Dekshenieks got the shutout in goal.

Pinecrest Academy 3, Mt. Paran 1

KENNESAW –Gabe Villar scored two goals as the Paladins earned a Region 6-1A victory Tuesday on the road.

Sebastian Cordoba added a goal and an assist for Pinecrest, while Arturo Mangia and Connor Sassine each had an assist.

Joe Meersman and Peter Haynes shared the win in goal.
