PREP ROUNDUP: West Forsyth sweeps rival North Forsyth in region soccer match

BOYS LACROSSE

South Forsyth 15, Grayson 9

LOGANVILLE – Nick Vittitow made 14 saves in goal as the War Eagles earned an Area 5-6/7A victory Tuesday on the road.

Andrew Lempner, Cameron Garramone and Colton Rudd led South (3-2, 2-1) in goals while Max Kane led the team in assists.

West Forsyth 7, Cambridge 6

Jimmy Martelli scored four goals as the Wolverines (9-1, 3-1) earned an Area 5-6/7A victory Tuesday at home.

Box scores: Sequoyah 9, Forsyth Central 8 (OT).

GIRLS SOCCER

Forsyth Central 5, Woodstock 0

Callie Fagan scored two goals as the Lady Bulldogs cruised to a non-region victory Tuesday on the road.

Lauren Uldrich had a goal and assist for Central (5-5-0, 1-4 Region 5-7A), while the Lady Bulldogs also got goals from Alexis Sherman and Julia Wagner. Jenna Uldrich had an assist, too.

Alaina Giangiobbe earned the shutout in goal.

Oak Mountain 2, Lambert 1

Brooke Schuyler scored the lone goal for the Lady Longhorns in a non-region game Tuesday on the road.

Jordyn Ebert made nine saves in goal for Lambert (6-3-0, 3-1 Region 5-7A), which was playing the No. 3-ranked team in Alabama.

West Forsyth 7, North Forsyth 0

Seven different Lady Wolverines soccer in the team’s Region 5-7A victory on the road Tuesday.

West (6-5-0, 2-3) got goals from Kylie Gazza, Carsen Parker, A.J. Needham, Gillian Bay, Meagan McIlnerney, Brooke Pirkle and Natalie Reyes.

Other scores: Roswell 3, South Forsyth 2.

BOYS SOCCER

West Forsyth 1, North Forsyth 0

Alex May scored the only goal for the Wolverines in a Region 5-7A victory Tuesday on the road.

West (3-8-1, 1-4) held North (2-8-1, 0-5) to just two shots on goal.

Other scores: Roswell 2, South Forsyth 0.
