PREP ROUNDUP: West Forsyth boys lacrosse cruises past North Forsyth

BOYS LACROSSE

West Forsyth 16, North Forsyth 5

Josh Stone scored three goals as the Wolverines cruised to an Area 5-6/7A victory Friday at home.

Michael Rogers added two goals for West (11-1, 4-1).

Jaiden Prosser led North (3-4, 1-2) with three goals, while Tucker Brady had two goals and an assist. Shaun Herock won 19 of 24 faceoffs.

Pinecrest Academy 12, North Springs 1

SANDY SPRINGS – Ryan DiFazio had four goals as the Paladins cruised to a non-area victory Friday on the road.

Jack Binkley added two goals and two assists for Pinecrest (5-2), while Carson Holler had two goals and Wills Brown had a goal and assist.

The Paladins also got goals from Collin Spillane, Robert Binkley and Eli Karaki.

Drew Hendren made two saves in goal.

South Forsyth 10, Collins Hill 9

Andrew Lempner and Will Wyckoff led the War Eagles in scoring for a non-area victory Friday at home.

Colton Rudd and Max Kane led South (5-2, 2-1 Area 5-6/7A) in assists.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Pinecrest Academy 15, Grady 8

The Lady Paladins cruised to a non-area victory Friday at home for their sixth straight win overall since starting the season 0-2.

Pinecrest (6-2, 2-0 Area 3-1/5A) got scoring from Nika Brown, Ella Binkley, Molly Dankowski and Sarah DiFazio.

GIRLS SOCCER

North Forsyth 8, Meadowcreek 0

Kristina Evans had a hat-trick as the Lady Raiders cruised to a non-area victory Friday at home.

North also got goals from Emma Williams, Sydney Miller, Savannah Cummings, Kat Fisher and Canby Biddle.

Pinecrest Academy 6, King’s Ridge 0

ALPHARETTA – Erin Houlihan had four goals and two assists as the Lady Paladins cruised to a Region 6-1A victory Friday on the road.

Regina Metz and Sarah Brown each added a goal and assist for Pinecrest (4-7-0, 2-2), while Margaret Metz also had an assist.

Ashley Triplett earned the shutout in goal.

West Forsyth 2, Lassiter 1

MARIETTA – The Lady Wolverines some measure of revenge against the team it lost to in last year’s Class 6A state championship Friday in a non-region game on the road.

Kylie Gazza and Carsen Parker scored for West (7-5, 2-3 Region 5-7A), which met Lassiter in the state finals on its historic state playoff run last season. The Lady Wolverines lost that game, 2-1.

BOYS SOCCER

Pinecrest Academy 4, King’s Ridge 3

ALPHARETTA – Matt Stone scored the eventual game-winner with three minutes left as the Paladins earned a Region 6-1A victory Friday on the road.

Stone added an assist for Pinecrest (5-6-1, 3-2), which led by as much as 3-1 before King’s Ridge scored twice in three minutes to tie the game late.

Connor Sassine added two goals for the Paladins, Arturo Muniga scored a goal and Gabe Villar had an assist.

West Forsyth 4, Lassiter 2

MARIETTA – Carlos Reyes had a hat-trick as the Wolverines earned a non-region victory Friday on the road.

Xavier Figueroa scored the goal for West (4-8-0, 1-4 Region 5-7A).

Other scores: Meadowcreek 4, North Forsyth 0
