PREP ROUNDUP: Lamberts boys lacrosse dominates Chattahoochee for area win

BASEBALL

Milton 4, Forsyth Central 1

MILTON – Grant Cloud had two hits but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs dropped a Region 5-7A game Friday on the road.

Mitchell Gross suffered the loss for Central, allowing all four runs in 4 2/3 innings.

Greg Wozniak drove in the lone run for the Bulldogs, but Central was otherwise frustrated by Milton starter Luc Scudellari, who struck out six in six innings of work.

BOYS LACROSSE

Lambert 19, Chattahoochee 2

JOHNS CREEK – Eric Overbay had three goals and three assists as the Longhorns cruised to an Area 5-6/7A victory Friday on the road.

Gerard Kane, Hunter Pedersen and Alex Walker each added three goals apiece for Lambert (9-1, 3-0). J.R. Alesia added a goal and an assist.

Pat Phelan forced two turnovers on defense, while Taylor Brinkerhoff had three groundballs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Pinecrest Academy 13, Fellowship Christian 7

Molly Dankowski and Sarah DiFazio each scored five goals as the Lady Paladins earned an Area 3-1/5A victory Friday.

Ella Binkley added two goals for Pinecrest (8-3), while Nika Brown also had a goal.

BOYS SOCCER

Fellowship Christian 3, Pinecrest Academy 0

ROSWELL - An under-manned Paladins teams dropped a Region 6-1A game Friday on the road.

Pinecrest surrendered two early goals and never recovered.

GIRLS SOCCER

Fellowship Christian 3, Pinecrest Academy 1

ROSWELL - Margaret Metz scored a goal but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Paladins dropped a Region 6-1A game Friday on the road.

Haley Triplett had the assist for Pinecrest, which led 1-0 at half but couldn’t hold on to the advantage.
