PREP ROUNDUP: Home runs lift Lambert baseball past South Forsyth

Lambert 4, South Forsyth 1

Will Gabbert and Josh McAllister hit home runs as the Longhorns earned a Region 5-7A victory Monday on the road.

Zach Keenan earned the win for Lambert (17-11, 11-3), allowing no runs over five innings while striking out three.

Griffin Jarrett also had two RBI for the Longhorns.

Landon Sims suffered the loss for South (14-13, 5-8), allowing those four runs despite eight strikeouts.

Milton 3, North Forsyth 2

MILTON – Tyler Sheley had two hits and an RBI but it wasn’t enough as the Raiders dropped a Region 5-7A game Monday on the road.

Brody Westbrooks suffered the loss for North (9-19, 1-12), allowing three runs on just four hits while striking out four.

Colin Sanders also had an RBI for the Raiders.
