Fundraiser for Special Olympics on Tuesday night

POSTED: August 11, 2014 12:02 a.m.

SOUTHWEST FORSYTH — Rick Tanner’s Grille & Bar in Vickery Village will raise funds for Forsyth County Special Olympics during an event Tuesday.

From 6 to 8 p.m., the restaurant at Post and Majors roads will donate a percentage of all sales to the organization, which provides athletic and social opportunities to students and adults with special needs.

In addition to the sales percentage, funds will also be raised for the organization through the sale of raffle tickets and T-shirts.

Tanner’s, which offers a wide range of beer from its Cherry Street Brewing Company and has a pet-friendly patio, supports various community charities on a regular basis.

The eatery has raised more than $10,000 for organizations in the Forsyth County area since it opened a few years ago.
