Scholastic Student Spotlight: NYC model earning diploma through FCS online

Scholastic Student Spotlight is a bi-monthly series present by Lennar Atlanta where the Forsyth County News spotlights local students and their scholastic achievements and future goals

Name: Meredith Mickelson
School: Forsyth Virtual Academy
Grade: Senior
GPA: 3.6

Classes: Favorites have always been science and history, especially how it correlates to the U.S. and “how we’ve gotten where we’ve gotten,” her father said.

Next steps: College is on hold because of her career. She turns 18 this summer and has big-name companies contacting her. Currently taking acting classes and splitting time between Los Angeles and New York.

In school: Attended Lambert High School for two years before moving to New York City to pursue a modeling career.

Out of school: Volunteers at child cancer hospitals; boxing; played soccer as a child; running; cycling.

Future goals: Continue expanding her modeling and acting careers and is preparing to start her own clothing and cosmetics line.
