Local residents gathered Tuesday, June 2 to offer prayers in response to the recent killings of black Americans by police and the visceral demonstrations around the country that have followed in the days since.

Organized by Forsyth County residents Felicia Fink and Angela Bramblett, invited participants to write a prayer of their choice on a piece of paper and placed it within a circle of flowers where they were prayed over.
