A 49-year-old Alpharetta man was hospitalized over the weekend after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Cumming.

According to a Cumming police report, Mohammad Haider was struck and run over Saturday afternoon by a Ford F150 after he went through a red light at Mary Alice Park Road and Market Place Boulevard.

Both vehicles came to a rest on the shoulder of Market Place just north of the crossing, the report shows.

The truck was partially on top of the motorcycle and Haider was found on the curb.

Haider, who suffered serious injuries, was taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, where the report said he was listed in stable condition.

A hospital spokeswoman declined to release information about his condition Tuesday.

Haider has been charged with failure to obey a traffic control device.

No one else was hurt. The driver of the truck, a 17-year-old Forsyth County resident, was not charged.
