Body recovered from reservoir

GAINESVILLE — Hall County emergency responders retrieved a body Thursday afternoon from Cedar Creek Reservoir in East Hall, where they had responded to a drowning.

A teenage boy had been reported missing, said Hall County Fire Services Chief David Kimbrell. The call came in at 1:41 p.m. The body was retrieve at 2:48 p.m.

The body was found 100 feet from shore in water that was 28 feet deep, Kimbrell said.

The fire department's Marine Rescue Unit and the Hall County Sheriff's Office's dive team are at the scene.
