Boil water advisory issued for parts of N.E. Forsyth

A boil water advisory that could stretch into Thursday night has been issued for parts of northeastern Forsyth County.

 

According to the Forsyth County Water Department, water service is or has been off Wednesday in the following areas between Browns Bridge Road (Hwy. 369) and Lake Lanier:

 

-- Athens Park Road

 

-- Cain Circle

 

-- Cypress Oaks Place

 

-- Dogwood Place

 

-- Duran Circle

 

-- Fox Trail Lane

 

-- Hollywood Drive

 

-- Horseshoe Bend

 

-- Maple Run Trail

 

-- Mossy Oak Drive

 

-- Ponderosa Trail

 

-- Sourwood Drive

 

-- Vanns Tavern Road

 

-- Waldrip Circle

 

-- Yellow Pine Court

 

Once water service is restored, customers at these locations are advised to boil all water before use for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food.

 

The water should be boiled for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil, according to the water department.

 

The advisory will remain in effect for 30 hours after water has been restored unless notified otherwise by the water department.
