EAST FORSYTH — ALDI is scheduled to open Sept. 4 at 1760 Buford Highway (Hwy. 20) near Trammel Road in eastern Forsyth County.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 8:45 a.m., after which the public can sample ALDI exclusive brand products, tour the store and shop.

According to a company news release, ALDI is a model of efficiency that eliminates overhead costs by offering “smart” practices, such as a cart rental system.

Other features include a smaller store footprint, open carton displays and encouraging customers to bring their own shopping bags.

Store hours will be 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sundays.
