CUMMING — Women age 40 and older can take advantage of free mammograms through Belk later this month.

The Belk Gives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center, a 39-foot-long, state-of-the-art screening center on wheels, will make a stop at the Cumming Belk store in Lakeland Plaza on April 24.

The center will provide free mammogram screenings to women with no breast concerns, who have not had a mammogram in at least the last 12 months and have a primary care physician.

Anyone interested in taking advantage of the service must set up an appointment by calling (855) 655-2662.

All screening exams are performed by Charlotte Radiology’s licensed female technicians. A board-certified radiologist, specializing in breast imaging will interpret the mammograms.

Confidential results will be sent to the patient and her primary care physician.
