The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and title sponsor the Forsyth County News are putting on the 2014 Business Expo at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center, 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd.

More than 60 local businesses will have booths set up at the event, which this year features a new floor plan.

Jason Mock, director of the chamber’s Small Business Services Center, said the new design features a lounge area in the center of the room so “people can relax a little bit, hang out and continue networking with one another without having to leave the expo floor and go out to the lobby.”

“Hopefully, it will add a new dynamic to the expo that our vendors, our sponsors and our guests will appreciate and enjoy,” he said.

The event is free and open to the public. The expo typically draws hundreds of spectators who want to learn more about the wide of businesses in Forsyth.

At 4 p.m., Business Expo After Hours will begin and run the final two hours of the event.

During Expo After Hours, local restaurants will offer food and beverages for the vendors and crowds to enjoy.

Everyone is welcome to come by the expo at any time throughout the day.

“It’s a jam-packed full day of getting out and networking, talking with folks,” Mock said.

“People are excited about the expo and looking forward to having a fun day of businesses gathered together, of seeing what new businesses are opening up and seeing what new products people are offering.”
