The public is invited to attend today’s Business Expo.

The event, presented by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and the Forsyth County News, will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center.

“We have over 60 booths that will be showcasing their products and their businesses,” said Jason Mock, director of the chamber’s Small Business Services Center. “It’s a great opportunity to come out and see some of Forsyth County’s local businesses and what they have to offer.”

From 5 to 7 p.m., Expo After Hours, a networking social, will be held at the same location.

“So if you’re not able to make it during your work hours, come on by … and you can still have a chance to visit with our business owners and check things out,” Mock said.

In addition, the expo will also feature three business classes throughout the day.

At 1:30 p.m., JTech Networks will present a class on disaster recovery of technology and how to preserve critical data.

North Georgia Accounting Consultants Inc. will present a course on basic business accounting at 2:45 p.m., and at 4 p.m., NCR Silver will present a conversation on the future of point of sales for businesses.

There is no charge to attend the expo or any of its offering, Mock said.

He’s hoping for large crowds at the event, which in years past has attracted hundreds of people.

“It’s a great opportunity to come out and meet a lot of different businesses, different people,” he said. “It’s a great time to network and grow your business in the community.”
