Local law enforcement officers are teaming up with Red Robin Gourmet Burgers to raise money for Special Olympics.
From 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, officers will take part in Special Olympics’ Tip-A-Cop program. Through the program, the officers serve customers and all tips they earn will go to Special Olympics.
The Red Robin at 370 Peachtree Parkway will be participating in the event.
Michael Teem with Special Olympics said in a statement that the event is always “a good time for a great cause.”
“The tremendous level of law enforcement and community support … is what will make this event so successful this year,” he said.
“The money raised will be used to support Special Olympics events and mission of inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities in communities throughout the United States.”
