The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission’s mobile training unit will visit the Cumming Library on Nov. 19.

The work force development tool offers free access to resume writing software and helps prepare users for interviews.

It also provides access to online interest surveys and assessments, as well as computer typing software.

Since June, the units have assisted more than 200 job-seekers in the commission’s coverage area, including Dawson, Forsyth, Hall and Lumpkin counties.

The team has offered a unique learning opportunity by working with libraries, food banks, adult learning centers and various community organizations.

“The first question people ask when they see the mobile unit is, ‘What is this?” said Micah Thomas, mobile training unit instructor from the commission. “The last question they ask is, ‘When are you coming back?’”

The unit will be set up in the library’s parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
