CUMMING — A local family medical practice and Forsyth community partner is expanding into a second location this spring as it plans to welcome two new doctors to its team.

Morrow Family Medicine will open a new office in Milton after experiencing a growing patient load and number of people who come into the clinic on the Northside Hospital-Forsyth campus in Cumming.

The Milton location will be on Hwy. 9, half a mile north of Windward Parkway and directly across from Fry’s Electronics.

“Our patients are the reason we are here today and the reason we are expanding,” said James R. Morrow, who opened the practice in 2011 after practicing in Forsyth and north Fulton counties since 1998. “We treat people like family when they come to us, and they have responded in kind. Because of their consistent support, we are able to grow to reach and help even more people.”

The doctor’s office was named best family practice in both the 2015 and 2016 Best of Forsyth contests.

“It just further proves how much our patients matter to us,” Morrow said.

Cheryl McGowan and Patrick Kindregan are set to join the practice within the next few months, according to Arielle Burnette, a spokeswoman for the business.

McGowan will work in the Milton office after having recently completed a residency at Wake Forest and working with Urgent Care in Alpharetta.

Kindregan will work in the Cumming office. He is currently the chief resident at Family Medicine Residency in Rome, which he will complete in June.

Morrow Family Medicine’s contributions to the community also reach beyond medicine.

The family started the Forsyth Bring Your Own Technology Benefit, which brings modern technology and Internet access to children in the Forsyth County school system. The program has raised more than $120,000 toward this initiative.

The Morrow Family Scholarship helps cover a student’s college expenses at the University of North Georgia.

The family also supports a number of nonprofits in the area through the Morrow Community Foundation.
