As part of Child Passenger Safety Week, local public safety officials are holding a free event Saturday to ensure car seats are properly installed.

The Forsyth County Fire Department, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Safe Kids Forsyth are participating in the event, which is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Super Target on Market Place Boulevard.

It is open to families with children age 8 and younger.
