Child hit by car in west Forsyth County
emergency

A 6-year-old boy suffered a broken leg after being hit by a car in west Forsyth on Wednesday.

The child was injured by a vehicle driving “too fast for conditions” on Rocking Horse Lane, just off Post Road, according to officials with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

A witness told the responding officer he was watching his son play and saw the vehicle going “really fast” down the hill before hitting his son’s playmate. The driver also told the officer that she might have been driving over the speed limit before the incident.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a 36-year-old from Cumming and has been charged with driving too fast for conditions.
