Officials said seven units at a storage business on Hutchinson Road were burglarized sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

According to an incident report by Cpl. Pete Sabella of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Extra Space Storage after an employee, Christina Brown, discovered it early Wednesday morning.

Sabella said in his report that each of the units had its latch broken and lock cut.

Public Information Officer Cpl. Doug Rainwater said the gate of Extra Space Storage wasn’t working properly the night of the incident, and the suspect would have been able to enter the storage center unchecked.

Rainwater said that what was stolen from the units is unknown at present, but the victims have been contacted.

No suspects have been identified as of press time.
