HALL COUNTY -- A Hall County man is accused of hitting a 64-year-old man repeatedly in the face, authorities said.
Leroy Alonso Anderson, 36, has been charged with aggravated battery. He was booked Wednesday in to the Hall County Jail, where he remained as of Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, Anderson punched the 64-year-old man “repeatedly in the face, breaking his orbital socket” Monday. The incident allegedly took place in the 6800 block of Capitola Farm Road in Hall County.
“The victim’s injury resulted in him being hospitalized and having surgery,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware wrote in a news release.
Authorities obtained a warrant for Anderson Tuesday.
Ware said he was unaware of the relationship between Anderson and the victim.
The case is still under investigation.
