HALL COUNTY - A woman was found stabbed to death at an East Hall home this weekend, with authorities later charging her boyfriend with murder.

Jodi Lane Gerrell, 42, was found in a house in the 4700 block of Miller Lake Road, after Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies and emergency responders were called at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, to a neighbor’s house regarding a man “behaving abnormally.”

Wendall Gregory Armour, 49, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville by ambulance “for evaluation and observation,” a sheriff’s office press release states.

“After the ambulance departed the scene, the residents who placed the initial 911 call became concerned for the welfare of others in the residence and went to check on them,” according to the release.

“They found the door unlocked and went inside, found the victim, then called 911 again,” sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said.

The second call came at 6:34 p.m., he said.

Deputies and investigators responded to the residence, where the couple had been living, and determined that Gerrell had died of multiple stab wounds, the press release states.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Armour, who was under guard at the hospital until he was booked into the Hall County Jail Sunday, Feb. 18.
