Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle wreck in south Forsyth that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man.
According to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s report, the collision occurred about 9 p.m. Friday at McFarland Parkway and Union Hill Road.
Gustavo Ramirez of Brandywine Circle was taken to North Fulton Hospital, where he died later that night, the report said.
According to the report, Ramirez was a passenger in an eastbound 2004 Toyota Corolla that was struck by a 2002 GMC Yukon while attempting to turn left off McFarland onto Union Hill.
The driver of the Corolla, 21-year-old Jorge Humberto Ruano of Tidwell Road, was also taken to North Fulton, where he was kept overnight for observation, the report said.
The Yukon was driven by 54-year-old Ronald Harris of Apple Rose Drive, who was not injured in the collision.
Both drivers face charges in connection with the wreck.
According to the sheriff’s office, Ruano has been charged with failure to yield while turning and homicide by vehicle in the second degree. Harris was charged with driving under the influence.
