A Forsyth County grand jury has indicted a man who is accused of assaulting a sporting goods store employee with dumbbells.

Sid Anthony Haynes faces two counts of obstruction of an officer, one count of criminal trespass and two counts of simple assault in connection with a May 12 incident in the Dick’s Sporting Goods on Market Place Boulevard.

Haynes reportedly entered the store and began swinging dumbbells at employees when they attempted to get him to leave.

He reportedly did not stop when two officers from the Cumming Police Department arrived, inciting the obstruction charges.

Forsyth County Superior Court Judge David L. Dickinson is presiding over the case, for which no court date has been set.
