SOUTH FORSYTH – The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit confiscated thousands of dollars’ worth of methamphetamine and marijuana along with numerous guns after executing a search warrant at a home on Bagley Drive in south Forsyth Tuesday.

Deputies arrested two Forsyth County men in connection with the raid: 39-year-old William Marsh Pruett and 43-year-old Jason Kyle Bagwell, according to Deputy Doug Rainwater, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

“The sheriff’s office is not releasing the amount of drugs [confiscated] due to ongoing investigations,” Rainwater said.

Pruett has been charged with: trafficking in methamphetamine; sale of methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute; possession of firearms during the violation of the Georgia Control Substance Act; possession of Schedule III drugs; possession of drug related objects; and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.

Bagwell was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects.

The firearms found at the home did not have serial numbers, and one had been reported stolen out of the City of Milton Police Department in late December, Rainwater said.

Sheriff Ron Freeman, who took office in January, said his administration is making a commitment to impacting the drug trade in Forsyth County.

“We are actively targeting those selling drugs to our youth and most vulnerable,” Freeman said. “If you are thinking of selling drugs in Forsyth County, get ready to join the likes of [these suspects].

“I have no tolerance for drug dealers in our community.”

Pruett and Bagwell are being held without bond at the Forsyth County Jail.
