Suspect allegedly bites deputy

A man from Dawsonville has been arrested for a number of drug and assault related charges after allegedly resisting arrest and biting a sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop.

According to an incident report filed March 9 by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the man was stopped by deputies off of Holtzclaw Road in Cumming after being witnessed driving erratically down Browns Bridge and Jot Em Down roads.

According to the report, the suspect immediately exhibited multiple indicators of impairment and could only present an expired license from North Carolina. As the traffic stop progressed, the report stated that the driver began to exhibit signs of anger toward deputies at the scene.

The report stated that when the driver was placed in handcuffs, he fought and pushed the deputies until he was eventually shot with a Taser three times.

After the driver was subdued, the report stated that one deputy found that he had been bitten on the arm and the bite had broken the skin.

Upon searching the driver’s vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug related objects.

The driver was arrested for simple battery, possession of methamphetamine, DUI, obstruction of law enforcement officials and driving while license suspended.

 

South Forsyth man finds sugar in gas tank

According to an incident report from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, a man from south Forsyth reported that someone put sugar in the gas tank of his truck sometime before the night of March 17.

The report stated that the vehicle owner noticed sugar located inside the inlet of the gas tank while filling up at a local gas station.

According to the report, no suspects or evidence was readily available for deputies at the time.

 

Trailer stolen containing $10,000 in collectible rocks

According to an incident report from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, on March 17, deputies responded to an antiques market in south Forsyth for a report that someone had stolen a 2008 Vector cargo trailer containing nearly $10,000 worth of collectible rocks, fossils, minerals, gemstones and antiques.

In the report, the owner of the trailer stated that he had last seen the trailer one month previous, and a co-vendor saw the trailer a few days before it was found missing.

The report stated that the cut lock was found at the scene, and video surveillance of the parking lot was unavailable until a later date.
