Two-vehicle south Forsyth wreck kills man, 54
Old Atlanta At Daves Creek
The fatal crash occurred Sunday night on Old Atlanta Road at Daves Creek Drive in south Forsyth.

SOUTH FORSYTH — The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has identified the 54-year-old man killed in a two-vehicle wreck Sunday night.

Kenneth Payne of Cumming was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer north on Old Atlanta Road about 10:35 p.m. when he crossed the centerline in a curve near Dave's Creek Drive, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Blazer struck a southbound Nissan Leaf, driven by Kirthika Sivasubramanian, also of Cumming.

Sivasubramanian was taken to the hospital with what authorities described as non-life threatening injuries, while Payne was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic investigators said that Sivasubramanian was not able to see the oncoming Blazer in time to react due to the curve in the road.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
