Local authorities have arrested a woman from North Carolina for making terroristic threats and obstruction after a traffic stop on Browns Bridge Road turned into a vehicle chase in north Forsyth.
Olivia Malar White, 24, of Troy, N.C. was arrested at about 1 a.m. Tuesday and charged with terroristic threats and acts, obstruction of law enforcement officers, fleeing or attempting to elude, failure to maintain lane and failure to report striking a fixed object.
According to an incident report filed by the sheriff’s office Tuesday, deputies first made contact with White at about 11:40 p.m. Monday, after her vehicle, a white 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, was seen sitting in the grass off of Browns Bridge Road and Little Mill Road with its hazard lights on, and again shortly after “swerving” and failing to maintain its lane near Keith Bridge Road.
“I made contact with the driver, Olivia White, who was crying hysterically and looking through her belongings,” stated Forsyth Deputy Martin in the report. “I asked her to tell me what was wrong and she only said she was sorry multiple times … She stated that she had PTSD from being attacked and she forgot to take her medicine.”
The incident report stated that the deputy felt the woman was acting “very erratic;” asking if he “wanted to go out on a date,” yelling at him, “ranting about random family things,” and claiming that she had come from “Houston to Atlanta for a hotel” and had been hiking all day.
When a second deputy arrived on the scene, the report states that White allegedly got back in her vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed.
After two hours of searching the surrounding roadways, the report states that deputies found White’s vehicle wrecked in the front yard of a home on Pilgrim Mill Road in Cumming.
White was found a short distance away from the vehicle, sitting against the back side of a shed, and holding a puppy.
The report states that White was then arrested and taken to a patrol car, and became resistant, “screaming over and over, ‘I’m going to kill you when I get out.’”
White was booked into the Forsyth County Jail under a bond of $15,145.
