Cumming Christmas Jingle Jog returns
jingle

Bells will ring through downtown Cumming Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Forsyth County Community Connection’s 11th annual Cumming Christmas Jingle Jog.

The 5K race will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Taco Mac on Market Place Boulevard and weave through downtown Cumming, returning to the Taco Mac to finish.

All proceeds go towards the Community Connection’s three initiatives: Darkness to Light, a program that raises awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse; teen maze, a simulated event where teens are faced with the consequences of randomly selected lifestyle choices associated with risky behaviors and recruiting foster families for the county’s children.

The Jingle Jog is a qualifier for the 2017 Peachtree Road Race and awards will be given for overall fastest runners and age groupings beginning at 10 and younger, up to 60 and older.

All preregistered runners are guaranteed to receive a long-sleeved T-shirt.

The sign-up fee is $25 until Dec. 1 and race day registration is $30. Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. and end at 8:15 a.m.
