This March, the Cumming Library will host several unique events for two local authors of debut teen and children’s literature.
According to a news release from the Forsyth County Library System, local teen author A.M. Romero will be at the Cumming Library at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24 for the launch of her debut novel “The Afterlife Mortals.”
“I really was interested in what it takes to publish a book and was able to get more knowledge about how it all works,” Romero said.
Romero’s novel was printed by Aaron Publishing, and can be found for sale on Amazon.com or borrowed at the Cumming Library, according to the release.
The release stated that “teens who love supernatural characters and adventurous plot lines will enjoy The Afterlife Mortals, a story of two friends, Jo and Axel. After suffering tragic and untimely deaths, Jo and Axel wake to find themselves stuck in an afterlife they only dreamed existed, pursued by a demon through heaven and hell, while one angel tries to help these battered mortals find life again.“
Romero will be available for questions from the audience at the event on March 24, and will be signing copies of her novel.
At the second event being held at 6:30 p.m. March 29, children’s book author Jacqueline Leigh will read from her first children’s book, “Time for Bed with Ford and Red.”
“The book is intended for toddlers and preschoolers in hopes of reducing bedtime anxiety and promoting healthy and happy sleep,” Leigh said.
Aside from stories, the release stated that this event will also feature songs, crafts and a chance for families to meet Leigh to buy signed copies of her book.
