A Department of Transportation worker discovered a suitcase with a skull inside when he went into the woods to relieve himself, authorities said.

A construction worker relieving himself in the woods along Interstate 985 discovered a suitcase containing a human skull and other bones, police said. Gwinnett County Police received the 911 call around 11 a.m. Friday to the area north of Buford Drive. The Department of Transportation had begun working this month to replace damaged concrete slabs on the interstate that leads to Gainesville.
