Downed lines shut down Peachtree Parkway at South Forsyth High
FCSO

SOUTH FORSYTH -- The intersection of Ronald Reagan Parkway and Peachtree Parkway was closed due to downed telephone lines near South Forsyth High School on Tuesday.

Cpl. Peter Sabella with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said both lanes of Peachtree Parkway (Hwy. 141) were closed between Majors Road and Ronald Reagan Boulevard due to the downed lines.

No cause has yet been determined for the downed lines, but Sabella said it was not caused by an auto accident.

He said the lines were down near the area of South Forsyth High School. Sabella said those exiting school were safely able to leave the school through the entrance on Ronald Reagan.

Traffic along Peachtree Parkway was diverted until the issue was fixed.

South Forsyth High School administrators notified parents and students via social media that they adjusted release times on Tuesday.
