North Forsyth High School counselor named systems best

NORTH FORSYTH — North Forsyth High School’s Josh Owens, right, has been named Forsyth County Schools High School Counselor of the Year.

Owens has been with the North counseling department for five years. He began his education career 11 years ago, teaching in the school’s special education department.

According to Eve Phillips, informational technology specialist, Owens was instrumental in helping North’s counseling department achieve RAMP recognition in 2014 and serves on the Georgia School Counseling Association’s leadership team.

Owens is joined here by Superintendent Jeff Bearden.
