Three students from North Forsyth High School competed in the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference earlier this summer.

Andrew Hiltbrand, Ashton Seibel and Jessie Reed took part in the event, which was held in Anaheim, Calif.

The students competed as a team in the American enterprise project competition. They presented the school’s Cities of Romance Fashion Show that was organized, developed and produced by North students during the 2012-13 school year.

In addition, Seibel competed in the management decision-making category, while Reed competed in the future business leader event.

All three of the students placed in the top 10 in each event in which they competed, all receiving trophies.

In the American enterprise project, the team received a sixth place ranking, while Seibel took 10th in management decision-making and Reed got sixth for future business leader.

Aside from the individual awards, the North group also received a Gold Seal chapter award, meaning it is one of the best chapters in Georgia.

The chapter also received a first place award in environmental project, in which chapter members raised environmental awareness throughout the school year.

“Overall, the 2013 FBLA National Leadership Conference was a tremendous success for the chapter and marks a great end to the 2012-13 FBLA year,” said teacher advisor Shannon Anderson-Rush in a statement.
