SOUTH FORSYTH — Brandt Hansen, a senior at South Forsyth High School, was one of 32 students from around the county selected to participate in the Foundation for Teaching Economics’ Nashville Economics for Leaders program conducted last month at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

During the weeklong Economics for Leaders program, they developed an understanding of economic reasoning principles and how to employ the concepts for successful and effective leadership.

In addition, they gained awareness of the impact their decisions have on others and the responsibility that awareness imposes.
