Traffic might get backed up on Browns Bridge Road early next week.
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced in a press release that the stretch at Six Mile Creek will be closed to one lane on Monday and Tuesday. The closures will start at 9 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m.
According to the release, the lane closure will allow dirt to be placed behind a recently constructed concrete wall. The project was awarded to E.R. Snell Contractor in February 2017 and has a scheduled completion date of May 2019.
The release said that the exact dates of the lane closure may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.
