CUMMING — A local woman was a big winner in the Georgia Lottery last week.

Deborah Ertzberger, who is an employee of Forsyth County’s government, said Tuesday that she doesn’t have any plans yet for the $450,000 prize won via an instant game ticket.

“Actually, I haven’t really even thought about it,” she said. “Right now, it’s put away so I can’t even touch it. So I’m really not sure.”

Unlike some big winners, she’s not planning an early retirement. “No, definitely not,” she said.

Ertzberger claimed her prize at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth after buying the winning ticket at the Citgo Food Mart on Pilgrim Mill Road.

She played “$450,000 Big Money,” a scratch-off game, and took home the top prize.
