Ga. 400 double-lane closures scheduled this weekend
Ga. 400

Concrete slab replacement work on Ga. 400 this weekend will reduce the highway to one lane in sections in Forsyth County, per a press release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Lane closures will begin tonight at 7 on the southbound side between Exit 16 (Pilgrim Mill Road) and Exit 14 (State Route 20) and remain in place until Sunday at 5 p.m. Starting tonight at 9, crews will work on slabs northbound between Exit 12 (McFarland Pkwy) to Shiloh Road overpass until Sunday at 5 p.m. This will reduce Ga. 400 to one lane during this work.

According to the release, this is the first step in making the Ga. 400 corridor a brand new driving surface. After slab replacements are complete the next step will be to grind the entire driving surface to make it smoother.
