Lane closures set throughout weekend on Ga. 400 northbound
400

SOUTH FORSYTH – Though work rush hour may take a break each weekend, traffic in south Forsyth on Ga. 400 will continue to slug along due to lane closures.

Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will continuously close one northbound lane on Ga. 400 northbound between McFarland Parkway/Exit 12 and Peachtree Parkway/Exit 13.

Weather permitting, the closure will be from 9 p.m. Friday, July 29 until noon on Monday, August 1, weather permitting.

The state highway is being widened on each side, with the northbound lane expected to be open up to Exit 13 by September.

Motorists are asked to “significantly reduce their speeds while traveling through the work zone. Workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the roadway.”
